organized a seminar on Investment
in Agriculture of Developing Countries and Perspectives for World
Food and Agriculture until 2050.

The
significant role of the National Agricultural Policy Center NAPC and
its professional outcomes has attracted the attention of several
international institutions to express their willingness to assist
and cooperate with the Center in carrying out its researches and
studies. In particular, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social
Development (AFESD) kindly offered its assistance to finance the
NAPC 2009 -2010 Work Plan.
The AFESD support is oriented to fund the project “Strengthening the
National Agricultural Policy Center”, of the Ministry of Agriculture
and Agrarian Reform, within the period (2009 -2010). |

Report has just been published. It reviews

addition, it presents the evolution of the global and Syrian trade

The
Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform launched the start of
formulating the National Program for Food Security (NPFS) and set
priorities to achieve it on Tuesday February 24. The Meeting was
opened by Dr Nabi Rashid Muhammad Deputy Minister of Agriculture ,
Dr. Tahir bin Yahya the FAO Representative in Syria, Mr Atieh El
Hindi the Director of the NAPC and Program Coordinator and Chief Of
The National Group of NPFS formulation, Dr. Fathi Alhadari Official
of food security in the Department of Management and Coordination of
Special Programs for Food Security in the FAO / Rome, in addition to
the Steering Committee and chiefs and members of the National
Technical Working Groups. |
